This one act ballet seamlessly combines several different dance styles while creating a coherent retake of the story. Ten dancers, each highly skilled in their own dance genre, perform in categories ranging from classical ballet, ballroom dancing, show dance, hip hop and breakdance. The music is by Bernstein as in the original West Side Story.
The story has been set in Finland. The tragic deaths of the main characters at the end happen in a way which is unfortunately common among young Finnish people.
This work has been performed in several occasions in different Finnish cities.
